Why? I asked this in another thread - but what%26#39;s the fascination with the rip off? I can see several reasons why:
Can%26#39;t afford to stay at high-end property and splitting cost between 5 people helps
Like to take calculated risks - really, what%26#39;s going to be the downside of the hotel finding someone extra in a room?
Just don%26#39;t like rules
Please, enlighten me - I used to be a rule bucker, but I%26#39;ve long forgotten . . . .
Not paying for extra guests?
I think these people are trying to stay somewhere they can%26#39;t really afford. When my husband %26amp; I were just starting out we had little money for fancy vacations. But, we didn%26#39;t round up a few close friends to go and and try to defraud some hotels. Instead, we scaled down our vacations until they met our budget.
Vegas had so many options for almost every budget, I don%26#39;t really get why anyone would try something like this. Lack of class, I guess.
Not paying for extra guests?
All you people need to chill out. Like you%26#39;re some sort of martyr or something. Who cares why someone would do such a thing. Does it really matter? You have to think about who they are ';ripping off';. It%26#39;s a friggin casino that rips you off any chance they get. The way I see it, 6 guys can go take their business to the lovely Casino Royale and get 3 rooms or share a room at the Venetian. Total dollars made by Venetian if they go elsewhere is $0. So who really cares. Get a life.
Why in the world are we discussing this yet AGAIN after about 50 replies in the last thread of posts. Haven%26#39;t we killed this subject??? Time to move on...ENOUGH! Let%26#39;s talk about something that hasn%26#39;t been talked about lately....how about what buffets are the best or worst...or whether kids belong in Vegas...something like that!
lol
I agree
it%26#39;s time to move on
or maybe we can re-stir other pots
ie. CIRCUS CIRCUS IS HORRIBLE! lol
People really do get their panties in a bunch over this topic. The reason why people squeeze more into a room than allowed is to get more bang for their buck. Its as simple as that. It isn%26#39;t a fascination, it isn%26#39;t retribution towards a money-making machine like a Vegas casino, and it isn%26#39;t just to break rules.
It isn%26#39;t my thing, but I can see the forest through the trees to realize why people do it.
That sounds like a good idea to me. I would much rather discuss the best place to get a good margarita in Vegas, a club that is fun but isn%26#39;t super difficult to get in, or any of 10,000 other Vegas things to talk about.
At least this topic didn%26#39;t generate the craziness that occured when someone asked ';which casinos are owned by blacks?';...that set-off a whirlwind.
I once by accident posted a topic called ';what%26#39;s up with the Mexicans'; referring to the ones on the street handing out the porn. Boy did I get an ear and eyefull. It was supposed to be a funny topic but I guess the wording wasn%26#39;t right. But man did that create a stir.
Jaco: ';I used to be a rule bucker';...So, we finally meet again...You were probably the one who skipped school to go play video games, hid the flask in your tux at the senior ball, snuck out to the back woods for a smoke, flashed your rear end at the pep assembly, always parked in the teachers lot, threw the first piece of food in the lunch room, wore the t-shirt that upset all the staff......I knew I had run into you in my past life....jj
BryGuy...I remember that Mexican post. That did create a sir. The mixture of complete a-holes on this site and people that are ultra-sensitive make for a forum that is way beyond simple travel advice. Name calling, race/sexuality bashing, and downright meanness ensue. You would think this is a forum discussing politics or something.
Jaco it is simple, young, dumb and full of...
Remember?
