How do you Get an Upgrade @Harrahs?

How do you go abouts getting an upgrade for 2 rooms for 2 couples at Harrahs? The $20 trick / bring the reservation clerk a gift? or any other tips?

rimih,

Definately the $20 trick. I like the idea of a gift, maybe you can line up something nice from the Lexus dealership.

Sheesh.

I%26#39;m shaking my head again.

thanks nsane

I am a Vancouver Canuck fan

Since your a hockey fan I%26#39;ll be nicer.

All you need to do is ask if they can accomodate you. If the hotel is empty then the upgrade will probably free. If not you pay like everyone else.

If they do upgrade you gratis, then a nice tip would be appreciated I%26#39;m sure.

Matt

Do you have a platinum or gold card? If not they will probably only upgrade those card members. When I became a platinum club member, they literally started throwing money and comps at me. Until that point, I couldn%26#39;t get much of anything. Your best bet is to stick with one casino, run your comp card up on gambling, and sit back and wait for offers to roll in. Right now I literally have 20-30 offers of free nights, free money, discounted vacation packages to resorts all over the world. Other than through a card, I can%26#39;t offer much more advice. Hope it helps.

Ask nicely. But, if the hotel is at or near 100% occupied the front desk might not be able to help you even if they want to. If you are going during a busy time you might just want to reserve your desired room.

Harrahs are the worst for giving upgrades unless you have a Platnium or Diamond card. .....you can try all the above.....but dont bank on the upgrade.

If you do not have a good player history or a hostat Harrahs, forget it. I don%26#39;t know if there is a way to call and book those rooms. They only have 90 suites to begin with and they are preassigned to folks based on playing history. I have heard of people getting upgrades out of the blue but with the current occupancy rates, I wouldn%26#39;t count on it.
