TI trip report

We just got back from TI in Vegas. Our room was nice and spacious with a large bathrroom. We were on the 35th floor and had a view (not the strip). No complaints about the buffet, the second night we ate the buffet at the Mirage and thought the dessert at TI was better.

It was hot, hot, 106%26#39;F, we went for a conference and it was very busy. I would not go in July or August again if I had a choice. We mostly wandered around and saw all there was to see, stopping in each casino and playing a few slots. In our experience TI had the best bar service by far, anytime of the day or night that we sat at a slot. We didn%26#39;t win anything at any of the casinos, but we don%26#39;t spend much either, so we can%26#39;t complain. We had a great time and will go again, I would stay at TI again, but would like to experience other hotels also. I think my fovorite to see was Cesaers. We had alot of fun at Harrah%26#39;s also.

TI trip report

Xmasatthebeach,

Im glad you had good time, we will be staying there in 5 weeks,

right during Labor Day weekend, I hope it will be a little cooler.

What night did you eat the buffet, I was wondering because

they have different prices for Sat. and Sun. for there more

upscale selections I think maybe seafood. And what type of room did you have we booked the reg. room. And what was your view If not the strip? Glad to hear bar service was good as I have heard neg. reviews from the posts. But what you say

about the casino being tight with winning seems to be the rule

from other posters. Was it totally a 20%26#39;s crowd at the hotel, oh

that%26#39;s right you were there for a conference so maybe the ratio%26#39;s were a better. Would you recommend being on a higher

floor as to get better views? I%26#39;m trying to educate myself so when I have options and hopefully I will as I am arriving Thursday around 7-8 p.m. I assume the buffet was called

Dishes. And it was a dinner buffet.

TI trip report

South%26#39;s-4-me (too)

We are heading to SC on Aug 25....

Back to your LV questions........we ate at ';Dishes'; Tuesday night, my husband had breakfast there every morning and said it was good. I read several posts saying that Cravings at the Mirage was better........it was different, which was nice, but we would not say it was better when we were there. We were glad to have all the different choices of restaurants throughout the strip. Dishes serves a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We had a reg room and I was warned before hand to ask for a room higher up as the Tangerine nightclub can be noisy at night.

I don%26#39;t know what we were looking at when we looked out the window, overtop the Fashion Mall ??? We could also see the Stratosphere, so probably north west, not quite up the strip.

The ';20%26#39;s'; crowd? I thought about that on the flight home and so obviously they weren%26#39;t there. I was surprised how many kids are in Vegas, I don%26#39;t know why, I just never thought of kids being there.

The pool is very nice and very busy so go early.

Hi xmasatthebeach

Glad you had a good time!

You mentioned you had alot of fun at Harrah%26#39;s. Was it in the Casino or outside? In your opinion, is it worth it to stay in Harrah%26#39;s for the fun?

xmasathebeach,

You must love the heat Vegas in July, and S.C. in August. We

had temp%26#39;s last week 90-101 and that%26#39;s w/o the heat index and

we don%26#39;t have dry heat we have so humid it%26#39;s foggy heat. So

I hope that you winter somewhere else than Canada for your

sake.. But thank%26#39;s for the input, I will remember what ya said

about the night club being noisey so maybe I can get bumped

up a few levels to maybe have a strip view. From what I%26#39;ve been reading Dishes reviews seem to be favorable. All reviews

state the fact pool is small, I wonder around 5-6pm how crowded it was just to relax and have a drink around the pool before we get ready to go to dinner?

Thanks for the trip report on TI. I have reservations later this month for a petite suite. This hotel has received mixed reviews so I had some concerns. We chose it mainly for the central location.

Kelkac,

Another southern on the posts, glad to have ya! So you

are going late August, we are going 9/1-4. Im impressed

with your Petite Suite did you book through hotel. I got reamed

by LVHM for booking through Orbitz.(not really) He just gave

me his view of things which is why this forum exists to get

other peoples view%26#39;s on subjects. Would love for you to post

your trip so I can read before my departure. Have a great time

on your trip! My husband will be glad when leave so I will get

off this computer.

I just thought of Harrah%26#39;s and the Pink Flamingo more of what I thought Vegas was with all the glitz. I have not idea about the rooms or the pool, you would have to read about that on the forum from people who stayed there. I know the rooms are cheaper than TI. I would stay at TI again, we had nothing to complain about. We sat outside Harrah%26#39;s in a courtyard and watch a good band one night that we really enjoyed.

south%26#39;s for me

Even though it is hot in Vegas, and yes indeed it is in the desert, there were no bugs. We were in SC until the end of July and the ';nats'; were incredible. Enjoy Vegas.

Xmasatthebeach,

I am impressed by you, for you to be from Canada you have

the southern sling down pat. Your reference to ';nats'; is awesome. That%26#39;s how us southerner%26#39;s can spot a out of towner

in a heart beat! Northerner%26#39;s usually call them';noseeum%26#39;s';.

Drives every local CRAZY. You must spend a good time in

the lowcountry.
