It depends. If you are just hanging around the strip the whole time, then a would say no. You can walk most of it, and cab or bus the rest.

garrett,

If going to see sights (g canyon hoover dam, etc) or shopping (primm, etc.) You should get a car for those days. the rental is so cheap and is usually from your hotel check out dollar.com

Yes!!!!!

Six days on honeymoon, why would you need a car?

we wont be in vegas for to stay in the room i can tell you that much too much to do

YES. Rental cars are dirt cheap ($15-$20/day) so you can get one for about $100 total for your stay. There are LOTS of places within a couple hours driving distance that are worth seeing during the day (Valley of Fire, Lake Mead, Colorado River, Hoover Dam, Red Rock, Mt. Charleston, Area 51, Death Valley). Also, you can park for FREE in nearly all casino Valet lots.

Hi garrett

As one European to another I can assure you that if you have a curious mind and a fit set of legs you can fully satisfy yourself for six days (and nights) on the strip without a car. However, should you or your soon to be good lady wife (or husband) not be attracted by bright lights, fine buffets, an assortment of broadway and west end shows, international superstars, magnificent architecture, the whole world and his mother then I might perhaps recommend a hire car. You can always spend a few hours in a local slow moving traffic lane trying to hit/avoid the odd tourist who hasn%26#39;t yet worked out when it%26#39;s safe to cross the road or not, or better still driving to visit far flung tourist sites that can be reached hours quicker by helicopter or plane. This isn%26#39;t Orlando, just about everything is in a five mile stretch and can be easily accessed by foot or taxi cab. If you%26#39;r prepared to pay what by european standards are cheap rates try a limo (and please tip or you may end up with a nine page thread)

another question i am staying in either mgm grand or bellagio will i be charged for parking by hotel

Free parking. Don%26#39;t forget we drive on the ';wrong side'; over here. You can always rent a car once you%26#39;re checked in; every hotel has car rentals on-site. I%26#39;d suggest skipping it for now and see how things shape up after you%26#39;ve been in town for a few days. If the spirit moves you to rent a car and head for the hills, then go for it.

Parking is free though you tip if you use the valet.

A rental car doesn%26#39;t have to be all or nothing. Only rent a car for the days you want to sight see away from the strip.

When I am running around the strip or downtown, I choose to either walk or take a cab since drinking is part of my vegas experience.
