It Does Pay to Check Car Rental Rates Often-even after...

I once again booked a rental carthrrough Thrifty%26#39;s site for our next trip to vegas in Nov. When I booked it- last month- I was given a pretty good rate which came out to $133 after all taxes for a week- EVEN THOUGH we were actually only going to be there for 6 days-

Well, I just rebooked becasue now the site doesn%26#39;t automatically put a week%26#39;s rate, but rather a daily rate and the end result was the same rental is now $116 after all taxes and fees. This is for a compact car(Dodge neon) but I once again use the free upgrade code and get a standard (Dodge Stratus)

Granted it is not a huge difference but still a savings.

Always keep checking rates with car rentals and hotels. With either one you can always cancel and rebook if you find something cheaper.

i agree with vp. i saved $20 by cancelling and rebooking. if thrifty has an email list, sign up. i routinely get notices from alamo.

Thank you lovin,

I will do just that!!!!! Nothing better than saving a little money.

Same here........

I re-booked today with thrifty , and realize the difference, about $30. dollsrs less, and if you find the code, you get triple the miles with continental, with 2 rentals...........

always re-check - i do it up to the day of departure and always come out with a great rate. however, some sites seem to now require a credit card and i%26#39;m not sure how that changes making, er, changes.
