MGM Grand or the Mirage Hotel?

We%26#39;re traveling to Las Vegas in Spetember and have received 2 offers from the Players Club. One for the Mirage and one for the MGM Grand. The Mirage offer is 81$ cheaper and also offered $25 free play on my Players Club card.

I know the deal is better at the Mirage, but I just want to stay at the better of the two Hotels. Any thoughts on which Hotel is better?

MGM Grand or the Mirage Hotel?

I%26#39;ve not stayed at the Mirage, but just got back from the MGM. We found it to be too big, very expensive as far as food and drink, and very tight slots. Our air conditioning did not work well, and we were awoken one morning to strange noises coming thru the vents that went on for an hour. Our friends in another tower had the same noise. We won%26#39;t stay here again.

MGM Grand or the Mirage Hotel?

Location at The Mirage is best in my opinion. I have found MGM to be too big as well and never had luck there gambling. From what I understand gambling isnt much better at Mirage. We dont plan to gamble much there though. We booked Mirage for 8/20 because of location, pool, and atmosphere.

Like the previous post, i%26#39;ve never stayed the Mirage. But i did stay in an MGM Grand West Wing in June and loved it. The rooms and the beds are awesome. Love the TV screen in the bathroom mirror. It%26#39;s great if you%26#39;re in your 20s to mid-30s. I don%26#39;t know what to tell you about their other rooms. Another advantage of the MGM is that it%26#39;s right on the monorail line which will get you around the strip with ease on the cheap. I like the restaurants at MGM, Emerils, Pucks, Studio Wok.

My impression of the Mirage is that it%26#39;s for a little older clientele. That%26#39;s not a dig, but it%26#39;s something to factor into to your decision. If you like sushi, their Japanese restaurant has some of the best I%26#39;ve ever eaten. Also the Brazilian steakhouse is fun if you%26#39;re really hungry. I think there%26#39;s a tram to TI, which next to the mall, which is across the street from Wynn, which is neat to look at.

My choice would be the MGM, because I like to move around a lot, and the monorail accommodates that nicely. Also it%26#39;s an easy walk to NYNY, the Excalibur and Monto Carlo.

But if you%26#39;re going to spend most of your time at the hotel you%26#39;re staying at then the Mirage might be better for you. I think you can have a great time staying at either one.

This is a NO-BRAINER.

Mirage is a far better property in every way, except maybe restaurants, but you can eat anywhere. Rooms at Mirage are generally far superior to MGM, updated, very comfortable and spotless. Casino and common areas are much more easily navigated and pool is nicer. Why MGM still commands a higher price amazes me.

I%26#39;ve stayed at both MGM and Mirage, it really is a no brainer, Mirage all the way!! I think it is MUCH nicer and you can%26#39;t beat the location. Don%26#39;t hesitate another second, book it now!

I have never stayed at the Mirage but all I can say is that we got lucky on our 4 night 5 day trip to MGM. We won some and now thye are comping two more trips for us. Never had any problems with any service, people, or quality of food. But if you are getting a better rate at the Mirage stay there and visit MGM. The MGM is real big and I like that but it is to big for most people. Hope you have fun and win some to.

The Mirage is much classier and smells better. It%26#39;s also in a better location, IMO. I%26#39;ve stayed at both, and I%26#39;d definitely pick the Mirage.

I%26#39;ve stayed at both and I%26#39;ll join the crowd that says that the Mirage is better. The MGM has an advantage in two areas. The bathrooms are much bigger and the dining options are better, particularly at the low end. The Studio Cage at MGM is far better than the Caribe Cafe at Mirage. In every other way, however, I prefer the Mirage.

Haven%26#39;t stayed at the Mirage but I always love visiting.

Have stayed at MGM and it was way too big. Walking out to the pool was a hike.

Mirage is the better of the choices. You dont get lost in there (well so easily) the pool is right off the elevators whereas MGM you may have to walk a few mile. The rooms are decorated nicely yet the bathrooms are tiny. You have a prime location (across from Venetian, and Wynn, Next to Ceasars, closer to Bellagio.
