The last time I was in Vegas, NYNY paid me $13.00 for the 1,300 points I had accumulated over the weekend playing slots. In order to maybe get a comped breakfast, free room, etc. do I need to specifically ask for those things or do they just automatically issue you the certificates if your play qualifies? Thanks for any help on this.

You need to specify what you would like. Your food comp would probably related to the number of points on your account. Some casinos will give you cashback or food, but not both so its best to clear all that up before you start playing.
