So just curious.. My mom said to stay away from the bigger and better hotels because they are up to their heads in lloans and the smaller older hotels pay out better. Is this true. I am going in a few weeks and wantto go to teh best places...

Yes, the smaller casinos pay out better - I know from experience.

Try Casino Royale, especially. A larger casino that may pay is the Palms.

Just for fun, check out the Slot Payout Comparison at www.lasvegasinsider.com. It rates the Palms as having the loosest slots so I went to there to try it out. I am happy to say they have machines there that guarantee your money back and they do just that. I played for hours on $20 and could have left with triple my money if I had walked away at the right time. But what%26#39;s the fun in that? Some say these lists are bunk but it%26#39;s fun to test their validity. I had fun....

There was study results posted on this forum a few months back, which I can%26#39;t find. But I recall the house advantage over time to be very, very slightly lower downtown and off-strip casinos.

I don%26#39;t think it really matters where you play the slots, you will highly likely lose.

Hi Lisa Casino Royale is kind of a little dump but it is a lot of fun. The cocktail waitresses are extremely attentive and the place is always packed with people partying. Join the slot club as they have some really good promos for new members

lisa: Try the downtown casinos...seems to me they are much ';looser'; than the strip....at least my money lasts longer there....Have gotten free rooms at the El Cortez while playing what I consider ';a low roller';...also, the Orleans...I do, however, like the Casino Royale..jj

The best place for winning money the last time I was there was Bellagio on the 5 cent slots. Didn%26#39;t have (and never had before) any luck at the downtown casinos.
