Any suggestions on how to get around from treasure island?

First trip to Vegas. 4 of us girls will be arriving on 08/17/2005. We are staying at Treasure Island. I hope it%26#39;s nice! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get up and down the strip from there? Also, any suggestions on fun clubs and bars to go to or stay away from? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

TI is a nice hotel, my wife and I enjoyed it a lot. It has a great location so you can walk to a lot of places - the Venetian is right across the street and there is a walkway that connects you to the Venetian. Across the street to the north is the Fashion show mall, the Wynn is nearby. The Mirage connects to the TI with a free tram. Its a short walk to a lot of places - Caesars, Casino Royale, Harrah%26#39;s , IP, Barbary Coast.

You might like the Kahunaville in the TI and the Tangerine %26#39;Club%26#39; for partying. Your room key will get you into Tangerine for free. You will probably get some 2 for one coupons for drinks at Kahunaville. Margaritaville is not too far down the strip. The Venetian also has a club and great food and shopping.

The younger folks on the list can give you a better feel for the club and bar scene that I can.

The casino has good drink service but is not a %26#39;low roller %26#39; place and the slots and VP seem tight. Sign up for a players card if you are going to play a bit , see if there are any giveaways / couplns for signing up. The card will be good at other hotels like the Mirage, NYNY etc.

Use your two feet to get around. Other option is taxi%26#39;s and bus.

There is the free shuttle from TI to the Mirage, another one from Bellagio to the Monte Carlos(I heard this one will cease operation when they tear down the Boardwalk) and a tram connecting Excalibur-Luxor-Mandalay Bay. Besides the bus and taxis a monorail runs on the east side of the strip.

vegasbabie thats the same day the schminkys arrive for their week of non-stop partying. we are staying at the luxor mind so cant help you with your question but woo hoo its only twoo weeks!

TI has a great central location...you can walk to many properties without killing yourself...If you want to go farther down the strip..or downtown...take a cab....cheers

Two weeks from today!!! WoooHooooo! Thanks for all the info everybody. It helps to know there are alternative ways to get around w/o using a cab...glad there is a free shuttle at TI too.

I think our plans so far are Body English or Light then Seven afterhours fri or sat. The Beach on Wed. Thurs...no idea, maybe bar hopping if the heat dosn%26#39;t kill us. I really can%26#39;t wait. Part of the fun is the anticipation!
