Bellagio pool security

OK so next week Mrs Moonlight and myself are staying at the Bellagio before we get married. On the day of the wedding Mrs M was hoping to spend the morning relaxing by the pool with her Nan. Unfortunately her Nan is staying at a different hotel.

My question is this: if I lend Nan my room key, will she get into the pool area? Or are the keys somehow personalised so that they will be able to tell that she ain%26#39;t me?

(PS, no comments about how this is tantamount to theft, please! She will be borrowing MY sunbed, not stealing anyone elses!)

I think that Nan will be OK with your room key. When I stayed at Bellagio earlier this summer they were pretty strict about checing room keys when entering the pool area, but I don%26#39;t think the key was encoded with any personal information about me.

Wonderful, many thanks.

How come NAN does not get to stay at the Bellagio?

Does NAN have something working on the side after the wedding?

Nans not allowed in the Bellagio since she disgraced herself last time. Hopefully they won%26#39;t recognise her with the disguise on....

when we were wandering the hotel, up near the wedding chapel there is another entrance to the pool (from the back side).. there is actually a small elevator that you can take right down to the pool level. this puts you all the way in the back corner, opposite the pool cafe. no guards whatsoever. we just wandered in.. it wasn%26#39;t until we left through the FRONT area of the pool, where we noticed a guard in a little booth asking for keys.. but since we were leaving, he didn%26#39;t even look up at us.. weird situation.....

ha, ha, ha, my kind of woman.

If Nan flashes your room key she will be fine. They only glance at it.

I have a friend who always stays at Caesar%26#39;s, we take turns going to Bellagio and Caesar%26#39;s pool, not trouble getting in with just my key or hers since there are just the 2 of us, a whole crowd trying to get in with only one key might be a problem though.

Sometimes phrases have different cannotations in UK and US.

What do you mean when you say ';Nan disgraced herself'; ?. If its what I think, I would not want Nan in the Bellagio pool either

I know all about the differences or at least most of them in US vs UK phraseology, I am American but married to a British man and live in London over half of the year!! Quite a learning experience!
